When it comes to Jerusalem, if there is one monument that comes to mind, it is the Western Wall. The quintessential symbol of Jerusalem brings together thousands of travelers and tourists who leave their wishes as traditionally required. Let's know a little more about its history: The Wailing Wall or Wailing Wall is the only remnant of the Second Temple in Jerusalem (516 BC to 70 AD) completed by Herod the Great, a holy site of Judaism 2000 years ago and from which it still traces remain. Titus's Roman army entered Jerusalem in AD 70, destroyed the temple, and razed the city to the ground. This is a moment that marks the beginning and the end of the history of Jerusalem. While Titus's idea was to leave the Western Wall to commemorate Rome's victory over the Jews, the Jews attributed it to part of God's promised protection of the Temple, which would symbolize his pact with the people.
